The Islanders held the lead for the first seven minutes and took a six-point, 13-7, lead at the 14:19 mark.

In the first six minutes of the game Boise State struggled, scoring as many points, six, as it had turnovers. However, down six with a little over 14 minutes to go the Broncos rallied with a 17-3 run to take a period-high eight-point lead at 24-16 with seven minutes remaining in the half.

The key to the rally was Boise State going to a full-court press which caused trouble for the Islanders who committed six turnovers during the Broncos’ run.

Unfortunately with seven minutes left the Islanders rallied, out scoring the Broncos 18 to nine to take a one-point 34-33 lead into the break.

Boise State dominated the paint in the first half as they drove into the post out scoring TAMU-CC 16 to eight down low.
