SAN ANTONIO, Texas (8/5/2010) -  Boise State University junior Maria Santisteban won the 2010 CPT Canyon Springs Collegiate Open the weekend of Aug. 3-5 at Canyon Springs Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas. The native of Tampico, Mexico, won the amateur event by carding a final round of even-par 72 for a tournament total of one-over-par 217. Santisteban played a solid series of rounds at the three-day event recording a 2-over 74 during the first round, then a 1-under 71 on the second day followed by today's final even-par 72. Santisteban will return to campus this coming week along with six other veterans and two freshmen on the women's golf team to prepare for the Broncos' 2010-11 campaign.
