Redmon Receives Third WAC Specialist of the Week Honor

DENVER - Boise State's Hannah Redmon has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Specialist of the Week for the week of Feb. 14-20. Redmon earned her third Specialist of the Week honor this season.

Redmon, a senior from Sparks, Nev. (Flips USA) won the vault title with a season-best 9.925 at a dual meet against Utah State. The win marks her second vault title of the season and 18th of her career, which moves her into sole possession of the No. 2 spot in all-time vault wins at Boise State. Redmon also scored a 9.875 to win on floor and a 9.850 on bars to place second.

San Jose State's Thomasina Wallace earned the WAC Gymnast of the week honor after winning the all-around title in a dual meet against Southern Utah with a 39.250. The score marks her third 39.000-plus score of the season. Wallace also won on vault with a 9.825. Wallace also scored a 9.875 on beam, helping the Spartans to a school-record 49.275 team score on the event. She added a 9.800 on floor and a 9.750 on bars.
