BOISE, Idaho –
Senior guard La’Shard Anderson was named to both the All-Western Athletic Conference First Team and the All-Defensive Team, the league announced Sunday.
The postseason honors were selected by the league’s nine head coaches.
Anderson averaged 15.4 points during the regular season, a mark that led Boise State and ranked fifth in the WAC. He also averaged a league-best 2.47 steals per game, and ranked second in the conference with 4.67 assists per game.
He is the fourth Bronco to garner first-team all-league honors during the WAC era, and the first since Reggie Larry in 2008.
Anderson is also the first Bronco to be named to the WAC All-Defensive Team since 2009, when Anthony Thomas and Ike Okoye were each named to the squad. He is the sixth player during the WAC era to earn the honor.
Anderson and the Broncos have earned the No. 2 seed in the WAC Tournament, and will play their first game Friday (March 11) at 10 p.m. (MT). The game will be televised by ESPN2. --broncosports.com--
