BOISE, Idaho –
ESPN.com’s John Gasaway has ranked the nation’s top 25 men’s basketball freshmen, and Boise State University’s Anthony Drmic checks in at No. 14.
Drmic, who entered the week ranked 17th-nationally amongst freshman in scoring (14.4 ppg), is the only Mountain West freshman ranked on the list.
He also ranks third-nationally amongst freshmen in 3-point field goal percentage (.406) and fourth-nationally in 3-point field goals made per game (2.79). He leads all conference freshmen in each statistical category.
Drmic recorded three 20-point outings during nonconference play, the most by a Bronco freshman in an entire season since Tanoka Beard registered four in 1989-90. His 26 points against Idaho (Dec. 31) are the most by a Boise State freshman since Steve Shepherd also scored 26 against Montana State, Feb. 26, 1994.
