Drmic Ranked by in Top Freshmen Poll

BOISE, Idaho –’s John Gasaway has ranked the nation’s top 25 men’s basketball freshmen, and Boise State University’s Anthony Drmic checks in at No. 14.

Drmic, who entered the week ranked 17th-nationally amongst freshman in scoring (14.4 ppg), is the only Mountain West freshman ranked on the list.

He also ranks third-nationally amongst freshmen in 3-point field goal percentage (.406) and fourth-nationally in 3-point field goals made per game (2.79). He leads all conference freshmen in each statistical category.

Drmic recorded three 20-point outings during nonconference play, the most by a Bronco freshman in an entire season since Tanoka Beard registered four in 1989-90. His 26 points against Idaho (Dec. 31) are the most by a Boise State freshman since Steve Shepherd also scored 26 against Montana State, Feb. 26, 1994.
