BOISE, Idaho - Boise State junior Zach Wiles was named the Mountain West Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, for races contested from Oct. 1-7, 2012. This is the first Mountain West career honor for Wiles.
Wiles, a native of Defiance, Ohio, won the individual title and helped the Broncos to a team title at the Boise State Invitational on Oct. 6. He ran the 5-kilometer race in a time of 15:40, finishing seven seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. It is the second time this season that Wiles has been the top meet finisher for the Broncos.
San Diego State senior Marianne Hogan won the MW Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor, after winning the individual title at the UC San Diego Triton Classic this past week.
