Lenhardt Named Mountain West Player of the Week, Again

First Bronco in program history to receive the honor in back-to-back weeks.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State forward Lauren Lenhardt earned Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for games played from Nov. 12-18, 2012.  It is the second weekly accolade of the season for Lenhardt and the fifth of her career to rank second all-time at Boise State. She is also the first Bronco ever to be named conference player of the week in back-to-back weeks after receiving the same recognition last week as well.
Lenhardt, a senior from Eagle, Idaho, led the Broncos to a 2-0 record last week with wins against North Dakota State (80-61) and on the road at Weber State (70-56).  Against NDSU, Lenhardt scored a season-high 21 points off 9-of-11 field goals, including 2-of-3 from three-point range, and one free throw in her only attempt.  She added nine rebounds, one assist, a block and a steal in 20 minutes of action.  Lenhardt played a major role in two first-half runs for the Broncos, scoring five points in a 9-0 run to open the game and following with three rebounds and the last five points of a 14-0 run that put BSU up 17 points with 10 minutes to go in the opening period.
Lenhardt battled through foul trouble and double teams at Weber State to record her second double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  She contributed five points and two rebounds to a 14-2 run by the Broncos in the first half to break a nine-all tie.
For the week, Lenhardt averaged 17.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while shooting .636 (14-of-22) from the field, including 3-of-6 from three-point distance.  She was perfect from the free throw line (3-of-3) and added an assist, a block and a steal.
