Broncos Host San Jose State for Annual Pink Night

What's Happening:
No. 14 Boise State gymnastics plays host to No. 29 San Jose State this Friday (February 17) in the annual "Pink Night" competition.  The Broncos and Spartans will don their pink leotards in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Fans are encouraged to do the same and have a chance to win a Bronco Pink Prize Pack and more. The meet is set for 7:00 p.m. (MT) at Boise State's Taco Bell Arena.

Tickets can be purchased at the Boise State Taco Bell Arena Box Office the day of the event. Prices are as follows: Adults, $6; Junior/Senior, $4; Students get in free with valid ID. You can also purchase a Bronco Sports Pass for $50, granting access to all regular season home games for volleyball, soccer, wrestling, women's basketball, gymnastics, outdoor track and field and softball.

All-Time Series:
This will be the 34th meeting between Boise State and San Jose State. Boise State holds a 27-5-1 lead over the Spartans, including a seven-meeting win streak. The last time these two teams met was at the 2011 Western Athletic Conference Championships, March 19, 2011.

Boise State "Broncos":
Boise State (5-3) enters the week ranked No. 14 in the nation (195.175), up one spot from last week. Most recently they earned a second-place finish at the Chicago Style Invite with a 196.025. They fell to No. 7 UCLA, but beat No. 18 Missouri and No. 19 Illinois.  

The Broncos ranks No. 10 in the nation on vault (49.175), No. 18 on bars (48.730), No. 19 on beam (48.570) and No. 28 on floor (48.70).

Individually, Amy Glass leads the way, ranking No. 26 in the all-around (39.133), No. 33 (tied) on vault (9.858), No. 26 (tied) on beam (9.877) and No. 18 on floor (9.867). Brittany Potvin-Green also ranks in the all-around, sitting in a tie for No. 63 (38.817). She also ranks No. 26 on vault (9.870).

Joining the pair on vault is Hailey Gaspar at No. 47 (tied, 9.845) and Amanda Otuafi at No. 76 (tied, 9.820). Gaspar also ranks on beam at No. 73 (9.755) and floor, tied for No. 91 (9.780). On bars Ciera Perkins is tied for No. 23 (9.835), while Lindsay Kazandjian (9.794) and Bekah Gher (9.742) sit at No. 53 and No. 84, respectively on beam.

San Jose State "Spartans":
San Jose State (5-3) enters the week ranked No. 29 in the nation (194.0). Most recently they earned a win at Utah State with a score of 194.950. As a team they also rank No. 40 on vault (48.508), No. 27 on bars (48.517), No. 29 on beam (48.196) and No. 22 on floor (48.80).

Individually, Thomasina Wallace leads the team with her No. 20 all-around ranking (39.258). She also sits in a tie for No. 12 in the nation on bars (9.863) and sits at No. 12 on beam (9.846). Alyssa Tells-Nolan joins Wallace in the bars ranks, tying for No. 85 (9.779). On floor Katie Valleau is tied for No. 62 (9.808), while Julia Greer ties for No. 98 (9.775). Cassandra Harrison joins Wallace in the all-around, ranking No. 95 in the country (38.555).
