Broncos Take on California Friday

What's Happening:
The No. 15-ranked Boise State gymnastics hosts their second straight meet in Taco Bell Arena, this time hosting No. 49-ranked California on Friday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the Boise State Taco Bell Arena Box Office the day of the event. Prices are as follows: Adults, $6; Junior/Senior, $4; Students get in free with valid ID. You can also purchase a Bronco Sports Pass for $50, granting access to all regular season home games for volleyball, soccer, wrestling, women's basketball, gymnastics, outdoor track and field and softball.

All-Time Series:
Boise State and California meet for the 24th time in series history this weekend. Cal leads the series 13-10, but Boise State has had the more recent advantage, winning in their last three meetings. The last time the teams met was March 21, 2008.

Boise State "Broncos":
Boise State (7-4) moved up one spot to No. 15 this week, holding an RQS of 195.750. The Broncos also hold steady at No. 4 in the West Region rankings.

As a team, Boise State sits at No. 12 on vault (49.145 RQS), No. 11 on bars (49.045), No. 23 on beam (48.680) and No. 19 on floor (49.00).  

Individually, five Broncos hold top-100 rankings with Brittany Potvin-Green leading the way with three. She sits in a tie for No. 47 in the all-around (38.815), ranks No. 32 on vault (9.870) and ties for No. 72 on uneven bars (9.810). Ciera Perkins ties for No. 38 on bars (9.835) and ties for No. 56 on floor exercise (9.825), while Lindsay Kazandjian ties for No. 90 on bars (9.795) and ties for No. 98 on balance beam (9.765). Amanda Otuafi ties for No. 64 on vault (9.825), while Kelsey Morris ties for No. 62 on bars (9.815).

California "Golden Bears":
California (4-9) ranks No. 49 in this week's rankings holding a 192.930 RQS. They also sit at No. 8 in the West Region rankings.

As a team they rank No. 46 (48.575) on vault, No. 38 on bars (48.575), No. 50 on beam (47.780) and No. 57 on floor (48.130).

Only one team member from Cal ranks in the nation's top-100. Mariesah Pierce holds the No. 73 spot in the all-around with an RQS of 38.545.
