Boise State women's swimming and diving travels to Utah this weekend, to take on Utah and BYU in separate dual meets. The Broncos (3-1) and the Cowgirls (2-1) will compete on will compete on Saturday, Nov. 16 at noon at Corbett Pool in Laramie, Wyo.
About the Broncos: Head coach Kristin Hill enters the 2013-14 season with a strong senior class of five, including 2013 Mountain West champion Rachel Heaney (200-yard butterfly). Heaney also competed at the 2013 NCAA Championships in the 200 butterfly. After opening the season at home against Idaho, Boise State will return Jan. 25 against for its next home meet against Denver at 1 p.m. (MT).
Last Time Out: The Broncos return to competition after downing the BYU Cougars in the third dual meet of the season on Oct. 26. Boise State's 400-yard medley relay of Jessica Bottelberghe, Sydney Johansen, Brittany Aoyama and Felicity Cann clocked a 3:48.18, the tenth-fastest time in Bronco history. Senior diver Ciera Cortney set a Boise State record in the 3-meter springboard with a 324.15.
About the Cowgirls: The Wyoming women's swimming and diving team is coming off a win over UIC and a loss to No.32 Northwestern on Nov. 9. Head coach Tom Burman is in his 16th year at the helm of the Cowgirl program and has a 115-63 overall record. Wyoming recorded a 6-1, 4-1 MW dual record last season, with their sole loss coming from Boise State.
Last Time Out: The Broncos won 12 events in the 192-108 win over Wyoming last season at home. Rachel Heaney set the pool record in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:01.61, and Jessica Bottelberghe and Devin Madsen each won two individual events of their own. Bottelberghe touched in first in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events and Madsen took first place in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke.
Races to Watch: 100-yard freestyle
Boise State freshmen Aoyama and Cann have clocked in at 50.97 and 51.47, respectively. Wyoming's Morgan Hartigan touched in at 49.94, good for an NCAA `B' cut.
Senior Brooke Balogh leads the Broncos in the 200-fly with a 2:03.78. Junior Jessica Bottelberghe is right behind Balogh with a 2:03.99. Wyoming's Claudia Carlson's recorded a 2:05.21 for her season best.

Boise State's relay of Bottelberghe, Johansen, Aoyama and Cann lead the Mountain West in 3:47.78 on 10/26. Wyoming's relay touched in at 3:50.06 on 11/08.
