TUCSON, Ariz.,-Boise State's senior diver Ciera Cortney finished sixth in the three-meter at the Wildcat Diving Invitational on Friday, Nov. 22. Cortney scored a 274.10, a mark that ranks sixth in Bronco history in championship-style meets.
This is Cortney's second-straight year advancing to the finals in the Wildcat Invitational, and the fourth-straight year the team has attended the invitational.
All Broncos performed well in the preliminary round. Cortney led the Bronco effort with a 285.65, which is the highest preliminary mark and second-highest mark in championship-style meets in the three-meter. Junior Erin Kohlbeck scored 237.00 in the preliminary round, and Jordan Marthens and Karli Kriewall recorded a 221.05 and 196.05, respectively.
The divers will compete in the one-meter on Saturday, with the action kicking off at 11 a.m. The Boise State swimming and diving team will square off against Arizona tomorrow as well, beginning at noon at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center. The divers will conclude the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. on platform.
