SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Charlie Marusiak and T.K. Kim each concluded the opening day of the weather-shortened Cowboy Classic in the top 10, Monday.
Strong winds cancelled Monday's second round, and the now 36-hole tournament will be concluded Tuesday.
Marusiak, a redshirt senior from Phoenix, carded a 3-over 73 at the 7,133-yard Talking Stick Golf Club. He will enter the final round tied for sixth place, three strokes back of a three-way tie for first place.
Fellow senior Kim posted an opening-round 74 (+4), and is tied for 10th place.
Boise State, tied for 13th with a team score of 310 (+30), and Wichita State are the only schools with two individuals in the top 10 of the 126-man field.
Freshman Logan France (78, +8), senior Clayton Kosanovich (85, +15) and freshman Shane Allor (86, +16) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.
The Broncos will tee off for Tuesday's final round beginning with an 8:30 a.m. (MT) shotgun start.
