Tenreiro Earns Second MW Player of the Week Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State sophomore Thomas Tenreiro has been named Mountain West Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 5-11. It is the second MW weekly accolade this season for Tenreiro, he was last week's player of the week as well.

Thomas went a combined 3-1 in singles and doubles play to help lead No. 45 Boise State to a pair of road victories last week, 5-2 over Utah on Feb. 7, and 4-3 against No. 66 BYU on Feb. 8.

Playing in the No. 3 singles slot, Tenreiro outlasted Utah's Alejandro Mendilla in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, then took down the Cougars' Robin Pfister in straight sets, 6-5 (7), 6-4.

He and partner Andy Bettles won their No. 1 doubles match against BYU's Francis Sargeant and Andrey Goyachkov, 6-3.
