TUCSON, Ariz. - Brendan McClain led Boise State to a 5-2 road win at Arizona Sunday morning in Tucson with a straight-set victory as the Broncos won their third match in a row. The freshman recorded the match clinching win by defeating Mario Urquidi 6-4, 6-4 on court five. Andy Bettles, Nathan Sereke, Thomas Tenreiro and Toby Mitchell also recorded singles victories to help Boise State down the Pac-12's Arizona Wildcats on the road. The win moves 44th-ranked Boise State to 4-2 overall, while Arizona fell to 5-5.

Arizona opened the match by taking the team point in doubles by winning two of three matches. The Broncos No. 2 doubles team of Bettles and Tenreiro gave the blue and orange a momentary edge when they defeated the Wildcats' Naoki Takeda and Sumeet Shinde 6-3.

Down one, Arizona rallied when Fredrik Ask and Kieren Thompson downed Boise State's top duo McClain and Garrett Patton 6-3 on court one. The No. 3 doubles match was decided next with the point going to the home team when Urquidi and Matt Dunn came away with a tiebreaker win 6-5 (3) over Sereke and Mitchell.

Entering singles in a bite of a hole, Boise State would rally claiming wins in five of the six matches. It started on court one where Boise State's 54th-ranked Andy Bettles claimed the first Bronco victory 6-2, 6-2 over Fredrik Ask to tie the team score at one all.

Mitchell was next to finish recording a straight-set 6-2, 6-1 win over Arizona's Will Kneale at No. 6 singles. The Wildcats pulled even when Takeda defeated Boise State's Patton 6-3, 6-3 on court four. That would prove to be Arizona's final point as the Broncos swept the final three matches.

Tenreiro put the Broncos within one point of victory with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles against Thompson. That setup McCalin's match clinching win on court five over Urquidi. That was followed by Sereke's hard fought victory at No. 2 singles 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 over Arizona's Shinde.
