BOISE, Idaho - Tuesday's Bronco football Players of the Day included some new names, and the first repeat position group to earn recognition during spring ball.
Freshman wide receiver D.J. Dean made several tough catches to earn Offensive Player of the Day. Senior defensive end Beau Martin was the most disruptive on defense, earning Player of the Day on that side of the ball.
Senior Blake Renaud, who was the 2012 Team Hammer Award winner, showed up the most on special teams to earn Tuesday's honor.
Playmaker went to senior wide receiver Matt Miller, who continues to make highlight reel catches during spring ball. The Ballhawk award for Tuesday went to sophomore Jonathon Moxey, who has had a solid spring in the cornerback rotation.
The Boise State linebackers were awarded the Group of the Day. The unit is led by returning veterans Blake Renaud and Tyler Gray, along with sophomores Tanner Vallejo and Chris Santini.
The Broncos held practice this morning, and will also practice Friday and a scrimmage Saturday. The scrimmage is open to Boise State student and faculty/staff, and is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
The annual Blue-Orange Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th at 5 p.m.
