Final Nonconference Test Awaits in Southern California

LAST TIME OUT: Boise State suffered a 2-0 loss against Gonzaga, Monday at home. The Broncos fell behind in the 23rd minute and could not come from behind.
VS RANKED TEAMS: Boise State is 0-5-0 all-time against teams ranked in the NSCAA Top 25. The Broncos' last ranked opponent was against No. 10 San Diego State in 2012, in Boise.
ABOUT PEPPERDINE: The Waves have jumped out to a 6-1-1 start and the No. 12 spot in the NSCAA Top 25. Pepperdine is led by forward Lynn Williams who is on the MAC Hermann Watch List. The award is given annualy to the NCAA's top soccer student-athlete. Williams has five of Pepperdine's 13 goals. The Waves have outscored opponents 13-5.

ABOUT UC IRVINE: The Anteaters began the season 0-4-0 in a tough road stretch. They have since gone 3-0-1 to start a seven-match homestand. Most reently UC Irvine earned a draw with No. 14 USC. The Anteaters will host Oklahoma Friday, before the Broncos come to town. Kiana Palacios leads the team with three goals. UC Irvine has been outscored 12-10 on the season.
All-Time Series: UC Irvine leads 3-1-0. The last meeting was in 2003. Boise State's lone win came in 1999 in Boise.
SPREADING THE WEALTH: Through seven matches Boise State has scored 12 goals. Seven different Broncos have found the back of the net. Junior Brooke Heidemann leads the way with four. Shannon Schueren and KT Clayon are the other Broncos with multiple goals on the season, each scoring twice. Last season 10 Broncos combined to score 33 goals, led by Heidemann's nine.
MULTI-GOAL MAGIC: Boise State is 13-0-0 under Jim Thomas when scoring multiple goals, including seven games with at least three tallies. This season's meeting with Idaho State (Sept. 7) was the first time Boise State scored four times under Thomas. The Broncos are on an 21-match winning streak when scoring multiple goals, spanning three full years. The last time Boise State scored multiple goals in a loss was a 4-3 double-overtime setback against Montana in the 2011 season opener (Aug. 19).
