BOISE, Idaho - Boise State's women's tennis team will open the season next week with three members regionally ranked in Teal Vosburgh, Bobbi Oshiro and Sammie Watson. With one week left before the start of the team duals season Boise State received news today that three members would start out ranked regionally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Junior Teal Vosburgh opens the campaign as the 16th-ranked singles player in the ITA's Mountain Region. The native of Katy, Texas, finished the fall season with a 12-3 overall record in singles. In doubles the Boise State duo of Bobbi Oshiro and Sammie Watson are ranked ninth in the region. The tandem finished the fall campaign with a team-best record of 8-2 overall.
Boise State will open the 2015 team season next weekend, Jan. 16-18, when the Broncos host the Eastern Washington Eagles and Lewis-Clark State Warriors at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center at 1503 S. Oakland Avenue in Boise. The season opener will be against EWU on Friday, Jan. 16, at 5 p.m. (Mountain), admission is free for all Broncos tennis matches.
