Four Broncos in Action Saturday

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.- Teal Vosburgh dropped her opening round match at the prequalifier of the Rivera/ITA All-American Championships Saturday, at Pepperdine. Vosburgh became the first Bronco to compete at the tournament since 2010. She was defeated by Zoe Katz of USC, 7-5, 6-1.

PULLMAN, Wash.- Arianna Paules Aldrey picked up a win in singles consolation play Saturday, at the WSU Invitational hosted by Washington State.

Following a 6-2 win in the first set, Paules Aldrey advanced after Portland's Tori Troesch retired in the second set. She will face Trang Huynh of WSU in the consolation final of the Gray Flight draw.

Nancy Menjivar fell in the semifinals of the Cougar Flight draw. Menjivar lost to WSU's Aneta Miksovska in three sets. The Bronco sophomore started with a 6-4 win in the first set, but Miksovska rallied to win the final two sets 7-6, 6-2.

Bobbi Oshiro went down in straight sets in consolation play of the Crimson Flight draw. Oshiro lost to Portland's Jelena Lazarevic 6-4, 6-4.

Paules Aldrey and Oshiro dropped a pair of doubles matches to teams from Oregon and Washington State.

The Bronco trio will conclude play at the WSU Invitational Sunday, with one singles match each and one doubles match.
