WSU Invitational Wraps Up

PULLMAN, Wash. - Bobbi Oshiro highlighted Boise State's performance Sunday, on the final day of the WSU Invitational hosted by Washington State. Oshiro won a consolation singles match to finish sixth in the Crimson Flight draw, the tournament's top flight.

Oshiro defeated Radina Dimitrov of Portland in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 to gain a bit of retribution. The two met earlier in the day during doubles competition. Oshiro and Arianna Paules Aldrey dropped a hard-fought 7-6 decision against Dimitrov and Troesch.

Paules Aldrey fell in her singles match Sunday, to take seventh in the Gray Flight. She lost to Trang Huynh of Washington State 7-5, 6-1.

Nancy Menjivar lost in the third-place match of the Cougar Flight. Menjivar fell 6-3, 6-2 against Idaho's Lucia Badillos.

The Broncos are off next weekend as they continue preparations for the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional Oct. 14-18, in Las Vegas.
