SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Broncos wrapped up Day 3 in San Diego on Monday ahead of the 2015 Poinsettia Bowl. Monday's events included a trip to SeaWorld as well as a group of Broncos visiting kids and families at a pair of local children's hospitals.
As with Sunday, Monday opened with the team loading up the buses for another trip, this time to SeaWorld. Once there, a select group of Broncos, Thomas Stuart, David McKinzie, Shane Williams-Rhodes and Mario Yakoo, got to meet one of the park's beluga whales. The quartet had the opportunity to practice some of the whale's exercises, feed it treats and even get a kiss from the marine mammal.
The rest of the team split up and explored SeaWorld, with some taking advantage of the park's rides and others checking out exhibits on the various animals such as sharks, manta rays, seals and penguins.
Once the visit to SeaWorld was through, most of the team boarded the buses and headed out to practice, while another group went to Ronald McDonald House to visit children and their families.
While there, the Broncos talked to children and their families, offering encouragement and even participating in some craft activities.
Following practice, the Broncos returned to their hotel to continue preparations for Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl against Northern Illinois. The game is set for a 2:30 p.m. MT kickoff and will be televised on ESPN.
