PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Anthony Drmic scored a season-high 24 points and James Webb III grabbed 14 rebounds to lift Boise State to its first true road win of the season Saturday, 81-71 at Portland. The Broncos (5-4) outscored the Pilots (4-5) 12-2 in the final 3:52 and held Portland without a field goal for the last 4:09.

In what would be defined as a game of runs, Portland started 8-for-10 from the floor to jump out to a 17-7 lead. The Broncos responded and eventually took a 37-36 lead on a Lonnie Jackson three-pointer at the 3:31 mark of the first half. Jackson's triple started a 9-0 spurt which put Boise State on top 43-36.

Alec Wintering and Jarrel Marshall hit back-to-baskets to close the first half and cut the Boise State lead to three at halftime, 43-40. Bryce Pressley made consecutive 3-pointers to open the second to give the Pilots a 46-43 lead.

Webb tipped in a missed shot and Mikey Thompson and Drmic made consecutive three-pointers to start a 17-2 run to put the Broncos up 60-48.

After Portland rallied back, Drmic's fourth three-pointer of the game put Boise State ahead 67-60 with 7:45 to play. The Pilots immediately responded with a 7-0 run to tie the game. The teams traded baskets on ensuing possessions and with 4:09 to go, the score was knotted at 69.

Drmic scored eight of the next 10 points and Boise State held Portland to 0-for-5 from the floor. The Pilots ended a 10-0 run with a pair of free throws with 22 seconds left, but Jackson put in two of his own to provide the final margin.

Drmic's fourth 20-point game of the season led four Broncos in double figures. Nick Duncan added 16, Thompson chipped in 14 and Jackson scored 11 points off the bench.

Wintering scored 26 points to lead Portland.

The game was the last road game of December for the Broncos, who open a five-game home stand Wednesday against Loyola Marymount. Boise State's next road game is January 5 at Utah State.
