BOISE, Idaho--The Broncos finished the final day of the Jacksons/NB Boise Indoor Invitational on Saturday. Three Broncos recorded first-place finishes while an additional seven earned top-five finishes.
Megan Kelley won the first heat of the women's 400-meter dash and would go on to win the event. Kelley's time of 56.08 was the top time through eight heats and also marked her indoor personal best.
Sophomore Jordan Ward cleared 1.74m (5' 8.5") to win the women's high jump. Ward cleared the height on her last attempt for the victory.
The men's 4x400 relay of Jordin Andrade, Fernando Martinez, Rex Stanley and Kyle Kelley edged out Utah State's squad for the win. The Broncos finished in 3:16.07.
Gracie Tostenson recorded a second-place finish in the mile in a time of 5:14.21. Danny Verdieck also notched a second-place finish, this time in the 60-meter hurdles. Verdieck hit a 8.41 in the finals en route to his personal record.
In the men's 400 meter dash, Jordin Andrade placed second in 47.99. Fernando Martinez crossed the line shortly after, recording a 48.20 for third place.
Courtney Hutchinson placed second overall but was the top collegian in the women's shot put. Hutchinson threw a distance of 48' 1.25" (14.66m).
Alexandru Terpezan recorded a fourth-place finish in the finals of the 60 meter dash. Terpezan finished in 6.96 seconds.
Next up for the Broncos is the Boise State Team Challenge on Feb. 14. Select distance runners will compete in the Husky Classic in Seattle, Feb. 13-14.
