Boise State women's tennis heads into the heart of its Mountain West schedulethis weekend, hosting Colorado State and Wyoming. The matches will be played outdoors at Appleton Tennis Center (weather permitting). The Broncos (6-9, 0-1 MW) are looking to build off a 5-2 win in their last outing Monday, against Portland State.
Through the first two months of the season, Boise State women's tennis ranks No. 3 in the country for average attendance and is one of just four schools nationwide with a total attendance of at least 900 fans at home matches. The Broncos finished 2014 ranked No. 3 for total attendance.
Tickets & Parking
Admission is free for Boise State home tennis matches. Parking for the matches March 27 and 29, will be available for free in the Liberal Arts Parking Lot.
About Colorado State
The Rams are off to a 6-7 start, already the most wins in a season since 2011. Colorado State has won four of its last five matches, including consecutive road wins before traveling to Boise.
The Series: Boise State is 8-0 all-time against Colorado State
The Cowgirls are 8-5 on the year and will take on Utah State Friday, in its conference opener before traveling to Boise. Wyoming ended Boise State's season in 2014, claiming a 4-3 win at the MW Championship.
The Series: The all-time series between Boise State and Wyoming is tied 3-3.
Boise State has received consistent production from the bottom of its singles lineup this spring. Senior Sammie Watson
is 8-2 on the year, including a 6-1 mark playing in the No. 6 spot. Since the start of February, Watson has won six of her seven completed matches with the lone loss coming at the No. 4 position against No. 49 Washington (March 15).
