FORT WORTH, Texas--Boise State's senior and co-captain Kelsey Morris finished her gymnastics career at the 2015 NCAA Gymnastics National Championships on Friday night. Morris scored a 39.075 in the all-around for 12th place in the second semifinal session, good for 26th place overall.
Rotating with Oregon State, she started the night on a bye in the first rotation. Her first event of the night was the balance beam, where she had a solid routine with a small step on her landing for a 9.675.
The Snohomish, Wash., native rotated to the uneven barswhere she scoreda 9.75 on the apparatus. In one of her most consistent events, Morris recordeda 9.85 on floor exercise for her highest event score of the evening to place 21st overall.
Ending the championships on vault, Morris posted a 9.80 in her final performance in the Blue and Orange. Today's semifinals marked the end of her illustrious career, which included three all-MRGC nods in 2015, 29 career event wins and two trips to NCAA Nationals.
Florida, Utah, Stanford, Oklahoma, Alabama and Auburn earned berths to the Super Six, Saturday at 5 p.m. MT. The top-four finishers (including ties) from each event of today's semifinals advancedto Sunday's Individual Event Finals.
