Fall Camp: Day 7

Aug. 12, 2015

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State football had just a morning practice Wednesday to follow up their first double day of fall camp. Impressed with his performance in the morning, the Bronco coaches tabbed offensive tackle Steven Baggett the Camper of the Day to go with today's Newcomer of the Day, middle linebacker Blair Ewers, presented by Lithia Ford.

Baggett appeared in and started 13 games for the Broncos last season, being part of an offensive line that helped Boise State lead the Mountain West in total offense and scoring offense while ranking 29th and ninth nationally, respectively, in those categories.

The Arlington, Texas native is also a two-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, and last fall was named to the Academic All-Mountain West Team.

Ewers, a San Jose, Calif. native, played his prep ball at Valley Christian High School in the always-competitive West Catholic Athletic League. After having his junior season cut short due to injury, Ewers returned with a strong senior campaign in which he made 32 tackles, including five for loss, to earn All-WCAL honorable mention. His performance also helped the Warriors reach the CIF Central Coast Section (CCS) Open Division semifinals.

Bronco fans can get to know Ewers a little more below, and can follow the latest updates and behind-the-scenes happenings of Fall Camp as well as with the many Boise State programs by adding us on Snapchat at "broncoathletics" from a mobile device or tablet.
