Vosburgh No. 1 Seed at BYU Invite

BYU Invitational Draws

Boise State women's tennis opens the 2015 fall season at the BYU Invitational, led by senior Teal Vosburgh who earned the tournament's No. 1 seed. Six Broncos will compete in the 22-player singles draw and 11-team doubles draw taking place Sept. 17-19, in Provo, Utah.

Joining Boise State at the tournament is Washington State, Utah State and host BYU. Matches begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, running through the finals on Saturday at 9 a.m. All matches will be played on BYU's outdoor tennis courts and are free to attend.

Megan LaLone joins Vosburgh in earning a bye through the first round. Nancy Menjivar and Milena Toseva are the other returning Broncos taking part in the tournament. Menjivar and Toseva open play in the first round.

Freshman Kirsty Venter will make her Boise State debut. Venter drew Washington State's Victoria Matejevic in the first round. The winner will take on No. 2 seed Toby Miclat of BYU.

LaLone and Oshiro will compete as the No. 3 seed in the doubles draw. Vosburgh and Toseva will team up, as well as Venter and Menjivar.

The Broncos host the Jack Taylor Classic Sept. 25-27, their only home tournament of the fall season.
