Boise State men's tennis had Lewis Roskilly and Kyle Butters competing on Sunday in the consolation draws of their respective tournaments. Unfortunately, both came up short on Sunday.
Roskilly played for the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational singles consolation title in Midland, Texas, where he fell 8-5 to New Mexico's Bart Van Leijsen. The sophomore from England finished the tournament with a 3-2 singles mark in his first competition of the fall.
Meanwhile, Butters was competing in the consolation semifinals at the Battle in the Bay Classic at San Francisco on Sunday. The freshman from New Zealand faced Cal's William Griffith falling in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. In Butters first collegiate tournament at Boise State he finished 3-2 in singles and 1-1 in doubles.
