BOISE, Idaho â€" The Boise State women's golf team is set to open the spring portion of its 2015-16 season, traveling to New Braunfels, Texas, for the All There August Challenge hosted by Texas State, Feb. 14-15.
"I'm excited to get our season started and head to 75 degree weather," head coach Nicole Bird said. "The team played really well during qualifying, shooting under par in the final round as a team at Plantation earlier this week. It's been a while since we've been in tournament mode, and it's a good field for us to start with.
"Texas State runs a few events, and they're all fun. It's a different course than we played a couple years ago, but I think we are ready to go."
The tournament will be played at the par-71, 5,885-yard Landa Park Golf Course, and will include a field of 15 schools. Joining the Broncos and tournament-host Texas State will be Georgia Southern, Houston Baptist, Idaho, Little Rock, Long Beach State, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Louisiana-Monroe, UTEP, Texas Rio Grande Valley, UTSA and Youngstown State.
