BOISE, Idaho- The Boise State women's golf team will travel to Maricopa, Ariz. for the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, April 4-5, their final tournament before the Mountain West Conference Championships, April 18-20.
The tournament will be played on the par-72, 6,231-yard Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
The Broncos have a history of success in Maricopa. At last year's edition of the tournament, then sophomore Genevieve Ling rallied from a one-stroke deficit heading into the final round to capture the individual title. Current senior Samantha Martin tied for medalist honors at the 2014 event, preceded by senior Hayley Young (2009-13) winning the 2013 event.
"We are looking forward to going back to Southern Dunes," Boise State head coach Nicole Bird said. "We've had some good success at that event in the past and it's a good one to end the regular season on and develop confidence heading into postseason play."
36 holes of play will begin Monday with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday, tee times TBD.
Boise State will compete against host Wyoming, UC Riverside, Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Montana, Montana State, Nevada, Northern Arizona, Portland State, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Seattle, Southern Utah, UTEP, Utah Valley, Washington State and Weber State.
Competing for the Broncos will be:

Martin is coming off her fourth career victory at the BYU Entrada Classic and has finished in the top 20 in every tournament this spring.
