BOISE, Idaho -- A week before the Boise State football team opens its 2016 campaign at Louisiana, Bronco Nation is invited to meet the team at the Fall Fan Fest. The free event includes an open practice and autograph session on The Blue, and is scheduled for 12-3 p.m., Aug. 27 (Saturday), at Albertsons Stadium.
The event is designed to allow Bronco fans more interaction and engagement with players and coaches on The Blue of Albertsons Stadium. The Fall Fan Fest will replace an open fall scrimmage.
"The Fall Fan Fest will be a great opportunity for Bronco Nation to meet the players and coaches that they cheer for every week," Director of Athletics Curt Apsey said. "It's also a time for our program to showcase this year's team just before the season starts."
Gates A, D and P will open at noon, and the team will take the field at 12:15 p.m. Fans will be invited onto The Blue following the roughly 75-minute practice for photos and autographs with coaches, student-athletes, the spirit squad and Buster Bronco. Autographs are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
Boise State's three Fiesta Bowl trophies will also be on display in the south end zone (SEZ) in front of a backdrop, allowing fans to take photos with the trophies.
Fans in attendance will receive the Broncos' 2016 schedule poster to have signed by the team. Posters will be available at the marketing table in front of the Hall of Fame at the southwest corner of the stadium and at the 50-yard line gates as fans enter the field.
In addition to free admittance, parking is also free.
