"It was a really hard fought battle against Arizona State," said head coach Shawn Garus. "I thought they (Sun Devils) got scrappy and picked up the defense in the third set and really stressed us. I am proud of the way the team performed and was able to push through for the big win over a Pac-12 school. It was a big week for our team."

It was an outstanding performance for Boise State during the three days of competition with numerous Broncos showing they were deserving of all-tournament honors. But in the end three stood out most, Kaitlyn Oliver was named the Boise State Invitational MVP with Roberts and freshman Janell Walley joining her on the all-tournament team.

"Sabryn and Sierra played really well for us on the outside all weekend," Garus said. "They are carrying a huge load for us. They get a lot of sets out there and I thought they both played really well even though teams are keying on them. In the middle Maddy O'Donnell and Kaitlyn Oliver both put up big numbers. They blocked as well as they have all year long. They were key in shutting down the opponents' offenses early in matches which really helped us get the four wins this weekend."
