Bonfilio Leads Broncos in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. -
The Boise State women's golf team showed improvements in the second round after a difficult first round at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, Monday.

After shooting 324 in the first round, the team had a 12-stroke improvement in the second round - with all six Broncos competing at the tournament posting better scores in the second round. Boise State shot a combined 636 (324-312, +60) on Monday.

In her first action of the season, junior Kinsley Bonfilio leads the team in a tie for 24th. Bonfilio shot 11-over on the day (79-76 - 155) thanks to stellar play on the Tacoma Country and Golf Club's par-4s. Bonfilio is currently tied for second in par-4 scoring (4.15), and carded one of four total eagles in the tournament field.

Lexi Perry made the biggest jump of the day, posting a 5-stroke improvement in the second round to move to a tie for 37th. The freshman concludes the day with a total score of 159 (82-77, +15).

Alejandra Lobelo (81-79 - 160, +16), Valentine Lacaze (83-80 - 163, +19) and Ivane Helias (82-81 - 163, +19) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.

Nicole Suppelsa - competing as an individual - shot 164 (83-81, +20) on the day.
