COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State's Sabryn Roberts has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 25 through Oct. 1.
Roberts led Boise State to a road sweep over New Mexico (3-1) and UNLV (3-0) tallying a team-high 32 kills for a 4.57 kills per set average in addition to two service aces and three blocks for a team-high 36 points (5.14 points per set). This is Roberts' first MW Player of the Week in her career and the third the Broncos this season.
In the win at New Mexico, Roberts led the Broncos back from one set down tallying a team-high 15 kills with two assists, nine digs and one block.
She recorded six kills and hit 60 percent in set two at UNM to change moment to the Broncos who took the period 25-8 … in the third period she had a team-high four kills to help the Broncos take control of the match up 2-1.
In the victory at UNLV on Saturday, Roberts once again led the team in kills with 17 and hit 24.3 percent with two service aces and two blocks, to go with seven digs.
She recorded team-highs for kills in all three sets with four in the second and eight in the decisive third … with the Broncos trailing 6-3 in the third set, Roberts led a 7-0 run tallying three kills in the stretch, Boise State never trailed again.
