BOISE, Idaho - Boise State senior wide receiver/kick returner Cedrick Wilson was named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll, and redshirt freshman STUD Curtis Weaver was voted the Boise State Athlete of the Week Monday.
Wilson was joined on the honor roll by Byron Pringle (Kansas State) and Larry Rose II (New Mexico State). It is the second time in his career that Wilson has been named to the Honor Roll, with the previous time coming on Oct. 3, 2016.
Saturday night, Wilson caught five passes for 80 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown grab, his sixth of the season. Additionally, he completed both of his passing attempts for a total of 46 yards and returned a pair of kickoffs for 31 yards.
For the year, Wilson leads all Bronco receivers with 50 catches for 828 yards and six scores, ranking in the FBS top 20 in receiving yards (16th) and receiving yards per game (92.0 - 17th). He also leads the Mountain West and ranks 14th in the country in kickoff return average, with 27.0 yards per return.
Weaver was voted the Boise State Athlete of the Week, getting 40 percent of the vote. Saturday night, Weaver made his first-career interception in addition to recording the Broncos' only sack of Nevada quarterback Ted Gangi in the 41-14 victory over the Wolf Pack.
The sack brought Weaver's season total to 7.0 which leads the Mountain West and ranks 20th in the country.
