STANFORD, Calif. - Boise State freshman Brian Humphreys carded a 77 (+7) in Monday's first round of the Stanford Regional at Stanford Golf Course, finishing the day tied for 67th.
The second round tees off Tuesday morning, with Humphreys scheduled for a 11:20 a.m. MT start on hole 10.
Monday's round opened well for the freshman, as Humphreys birdied the par-5 first hole, but a bogey on the par-4 second would be the first of four bogeys over the rest of the front nine. A bogey on No. 11 dropped him to 4-over, and after four-straight pars on holes 12-15 Humphreys ended the round with bogeys on each of the final three holes.
Stanford's Maverick McNealy and Oklahoma's Brad Dalke share the individual lead at 5-under.
