BOISE, Idaho - Boise State women's basketball rising junior Marta Hermida, competing for a spot on Spain's U20 Women's National Team ahead of the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship, saw action in three games this past weekend as Spain went 2-1 at the Tournament of Bourg-en-Bresse in France.

Hermida averaged 4.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists over the three contests. She played 15 minutes off the bench and scored eight points on 3-of-7 shooting, including hitting two of her four three-point attempts, in Spain's tournament-opening 89-56 rout of Portugal. Hermida followed that with five points, five rebounds and three assists over 14-plus minutes in Saturday's 62-59 loss to Serbia, and closed the weekend with a rebound in six minutes of action in Sunday's 74-49 win over host France.

The FIBA U20 Women's European Championship will take place July 8-16 in Matosinhos, Portugal. The Spaniards will play one more warm-up tournament prior to the event, taking on Belgium, Russia and France from June 30-July 2.

Hermida, the 2016 Mountain West Freshman of the Year and a member of that season's Mountain West All-Freshman Team, started 32 of 33 contests in 2016-17, averaging 8.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.82 assists per game as she helped Boise State to the Mountain West Tournament title and its second NCAA Tournament appearance in the last three years.
