BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State men's head golf coach Dan Potter announced, Wednesday, a tournament slate that will send the Broncos to 11 regular season tournaments in six different states, culminating with the 2018 Mountain West Championship in Bremerton, Wash.
"I'm really excited about our schedule," Potter said. "We have some new events this year and some familiar stops as well. We always want to compete at the best venues we can and we have an amazing lineup of golf courses this year. I can't wait to get started."
Boise State will open the season at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate in Pullman, Wash., Sept. 10-11. The Broncos will then take a three-week hiatus before returning to action, Oct. 1-3, at The Jackrabbit in Valentine, Neb. The Broncos will conclude October with a trip to Maricopa, Ariz., for the Southern Dunes Invitational, Oct. 13-14, and return to Stockton, Calif., for the Visit Stockton Pacific Invite, Oct. 27-29.
Boise State will conclude the fall season with a November trip to Maui, Hawaii for the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, Nov. 3-5.
The Broncos will return to action for the spring season, Jan. 29-30, at the Waves Challenge in Ventura County, Calif. The team will return to California, Feb. 16-18, for the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
The month of March will feature two return trips to Oregon for the Broncos, first with the Bandon Dunes Invitational, March 11-13, and then March 26-27 with the Oregon Duck Invitational in Eugene, Ore.
Gearing up for the Mountain West Championship, Boise State will have two final opportunities to fine tune their game in the month of April. The Broncos will return to Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash., April 2-3, for the Redhawk Invitational. The final regular season tournament will be the ASU Thunderbird in Tempe, Ariz., April 14-15.
For the first time since 2006, the Mountain West Championship will leave Tuscon, Ariz., and return to the Pacific Northwest. The 2018 Mountain West Championship will be held in Bremerton, Wash., at Gold Mountain Golf Club, April 20-22.
Following the conference championship, Boise State will await a berth to the NCAA Regional Championships, at a to be determined location, May 14-16.
The 2018 NCAA Championships will be held in Stillwater, Okla., at the Karsten Creek Golf Club, May 24-29.
