POCATELLO, Idaho - The doubles team of Pedro Platzeck and Stefan Lalovic went 4-1 this weekend to lead Boise State at Idaho State's Bank of Commerce Invitational in Pocatello. The duo defeated Utah State's Autsin Bass and Felipe Acosta 8-1 this afternoon to closeout the tournament.
In singles the Broncos' Tim Heslin split a pair of contests winning in three 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) in the consolation quarterfinals against Idaho's Kooper Crow. He then faced Utah State's Cezary Walkusz in the semifinal match where he rallied from one set down only to fall 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7).
The only other contest for the Broncos on Saturday was Platzeck's consolation quarterfinal loss to Southern Utah's Jonathon Morales 6-2, 6-2.
Boise State returns home this week to host the Boise State Dar Walters Fall Classic this coming Friday through Sunday at the Appleton Tennis Center on campus.
