BOISE, Idaho â€" Senior wide receiver Cedrick Wilson has officially accepted his invitation to play in the prestigious 2018 Reese's Senior Bowl, it was announced Thursday.
The game is set to take place on Jan. 27 at 1:30 p.m. CT at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. It will be televised live on the NFL Network. The coaching staffs of the Houston Texans and the Denver Broncos will coach the game.
Wilson is the 11th wide receiver to accept an invitation to the game, and just the second from the Mountain West, along with Colorado State's Michael Gallup.
Wilson, an All-Mountain West performer, set the Boise State single-season receiving yards mark in 2017 with a record of 1,511, besting Thomas Sperbeck's previous mark of 1,412 yards set in 2015. In the Las Vegas Bowl, Wilson's final game as a Bronco, he caught 10 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown as the Broncos defeated Oregon, 38-28. His 221 yards were the second-most in a postseason game in Boise State history. He also tied for first in program history with two 200-yard career performances in a career, and he is the only Bronco receiver to post two 200-yard games in a single season.
Over his two-year career, Wilson, a junior college transfer from Coffeyville College, finished with back-to-back 1,000+ yards receiving, with a total of 2,640 receiving yards on 139 receptions for 16 touchdowns through 27 games.
Wilson will be the 12th Bronco in program history to be selected for the prestigious postseason game and the first Boise State player to participate since safety Darian Thompson did so in 2016, following the 2015 season.
