Broncos Finish Strong in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. -
Alejandra Lobelo led the Boise State women's golf team in a tie for 16th - her fourth top 25 finish of the season - at the Fresno State Classic, Tuesday. Lobelo lowered her score each round, ending with a 1-over 73 in the third round to finish at 224 (77-74-73, +8).

The Broncos finished ninth as a team, also improving each round to shoot 918 (313-304-301. +54).

Fellow freshman Nicole Suppelsa was second on the team in a tie for 33rd, shooting 232 (81-75-76, +16). Junior Kinsley Bonfilio rose 12 spots on the leaderboard over the final round, finishing two-strokes behind Suppelsa (77-82-75 - 234, +18).

Valentine Lacaze (81-77-77) and Lexi Perry (78-78-79) finished in a tie for 42nd, both shooting 19-over (235) to round out the scoring for Boise State.

The Broncos will continue their charge through the spring at the BYU at Entrada Classic, March 12-13.
