Watch NBA Draft | Hutchison - Boise State Bio
Former Boise State guard Chandler Hutchison is one of 19 known players to receive an official invitation to the 2018 NBA Draft, which is set to take place Thursday, June 21 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Hutchison will wait for his name to be called in the green room at the Barclays Center.
The draft will broadcast on ESPN starting at 5 p.m. MT. Head coach Leon Rice will also attend the draft and join Hutchison in Brooklyn.
A recent graduate of Boise State, Hutchison is coming off a season where he averaged 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in leading the Broncos to a 23-9 record and a second-place finish in the Mountain West.
The Mission Viejo, Calif., native finished his Bronco career tied for first in career wins (87) while also reaching the school career top-10 lists in both points (1,478 - 9th) and rebounds (672 - 6th). His 13 career 20-point, 10-rebound games and 22 career double-doubles also puts him first and third, respectively, in Boise State school history.
The 2017-18 season saw Hutchison earn All-Mountain West First Team, USBWA All-District VIII and NABC All-District 17 First Team honors for the second-straight season. His 44 points against San Diego State (Jan. 13) gave him the single-game scoring record and later that week he was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Player of the Week.
His senior campaign also saw him become the first Boise State player in school history to lead a team in points, rebounds, assists and steals, and ended the 2017-18 season as just one of two players in NCAA Division I to accomplish the feat.
Furthermore, Hutchison's averages in points, rebounds, assists and steals in 2017-18 make him just the second player in NCAA Division I since 2009-10 to finish a season averaging at least 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game, joining Evan Turner (2009-10, Ohio State).
