Boise State Wins 2018 Mountain West Championship
The Broncos won their first conference championship in 2018 when they claimed the Mountain West title at Dona Larsen Park in Boise.
Boise State finished the year 40-16 overall and 18-6 in MW play.
The team won the title when the Broncos swept a three-game series over New Mexico 10-0, 10-1, 6-5 May 10-12 to close the regular season.

The 2009 Inaugural Team
Boise State softball began with the 2009 campaign with 18 members on the inaugural team.
The team went 22-30 overall and 7-9 in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play.
The Blue and Orange went 7-9 at home at Mountain Cove Softball Field.
Members of team included: Tazz Weatherly, Kellie Caplan, Kathy Cox, Kelly Sweeney, Laurel Wyatt, Laeha Hill, Allie Crump, Maghan Yurek, Ashliegh Viers-Gordillo, Jessi Hanna, Megan Suitos, Alex Minten, Christina Capobianco, Lexi Straton, Kelsey Perkins, Mandy Klein and Aubray Zell.
Coaches: Erin Thorpe (head coach), Justin Kloczko (assistant) and Brianne McGowan (Assistant).

One Year Ago Today Boise State Beat Stanford at NCAA Regional
One year ago today Boise State defeated Stanford 9-1 in the opening game of the 2019 NCAA Regional at Gainesville, Fla.
It was the first NCAA tournament victory in the program's 12 year history.
The Broncos went on to defeat Stanford one more time to reach the regional championship series versus Florida.

Seng Led Team in Batting Average at .391
Alison Seng led the Broncos during the season recording a team-high .391 batting average to rank fifth in the Mountain West Conference.
The junior tallied seven multiple-hit games during the 25-game schedule.
Seng finished the year with 27 hits, two doubles, one triple, one home run, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.

Jordyn Macias Homers On First Pitch Faced of Season
On Feb. 15 versus Detroit Mercy, Jordyn Macias stepped to the plate for the first time in the season. She proceeded to send the the first pitch of that at bat out of the ball park.
The ball sailed down the left line and over the fence to make the score 9-0 Boise State.
It was also the sophomore's first home run of her career in the Blue and Orange.

Kelsey Broadus Ties School Record For Career Complete Game Shutouts
On Feb. 22nd Kelsey Broadus threw her fourth complete game shutout to lead Boise State to a 8-0 victory over Cal Baptist at the Silicon Valley Classic in Santa Clara, Calif. That shutout tied Broadus for the program record for career complete game shutouts with 11. She is now tied with Aubrey Zell (2009-12).
Broadus entered the season with seven through her first three seasons. Her four shutouts came against UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 8), Illinois State (Feb. 15), Santa Clara (Feb. 21) and Cal Baptist.
The senior finished the season tied for second in the Mountain West Conference for complete game shutouts and ranked 12th nationally.

Boise State Makes History With Two Grand Slams In One Inning
On Feb. 14 at the Littlewood Classic in Tempe, Ariz., Boise State accomplished something never done before by a Bronco or Mountain West team hitting two grand slam home runs in one inning. In fact, it was only the sixth time in NCAA Division I history that a team recorded such a feat.
Trailing 11-4 to 10th-ranked Kentucky entering the top of the sixth inning, Boise State rallied for nine runs powered by the grand slams to take a 13-11 lead.
The first came from Jessica McKay when she sent the ball sailing over the left-center fence. Then with bases loaded and two out, Karlee Johnson stepped to the plate for the second time in the inning and proceeded to send her first homer of the year over the left field wall.
Unfortunately for the Blue and Orange, the Wildcats came back to win the game 16-14, but the two grand slams in the sixth inning will go down as one the top moments in Bronco softball history.
