Hayes and Horton Clinch Boise State's First Team Victory
Boise State beach volleyball won its first match on April 4, 2014 on opening day at the Sacramento State Invite.
The No. 2 pair of Laney Hayes and Sarah Horton brought home the match clinching victory in the 3-2 win over Cal Poly.
Hayes and Horton rallied from one set down to defeat their Mustang opponents 11-21, 21-17, 21-18.

BroncoSports Features the 2014 Inaugural Beach Volleyball Team
Boise State beach volleyball debuted in the spring of 2014 going 4-7 overall … two of those wins were over Pac-12 teams Oregon (3-2) and Washington (3-2).
The Broncos played the entire season on the road in 2014.
The Broncos were the first official team located in the Pacific Northwest at the time Boise State announced the addition of the program.
Team members included: Alyssa Gammel (#1), Hannah Hubbard (#2), Brittany Reardon (#3), Kaitlyn Oliver (#4), Katelyn Kinghorn (#11), Sarah Horton (#12), Sarah Baugh (#13), Casey Rose (#14), Laney Hayes (#20), Izzy Miller (#21), Aly Duffin (#22), Taylor Murphey (#23) and Maddy O'Donnell (#24).
Coaches: Shawn Garus (head coach), Breann Nesselhuf (assistant) and Candy Murphy (director of operations).
