Celebrating 30 Seasons of Women's Golf

30th Thursday

No. 25 | Jenny Judd

“My time at [Boise State] was awesome,” said Jenny Judd, a member of the Bronco women’s golf team from 2001-05.

As a freshman, Judd joined the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). SAAC consists of two student-athletes from each team at Boise State. These representatives serve as the voice of Bronco student-athletes to administration, the Mountain West and the NCAA.

During her last semester as a Bronco, after completing her collegiate career, Judd interned with the athletic department, recruiting for women’s sports and helping with Title IX.

“Boise State helped me with relationship building and put me in a good network of people,” said Judd.

Today, Judd serves as the general manager at two golf courses in Houston, Texas, Magnolia Creek and South Shore Harbor Golf Clubs. She credits her golf career at Boise State and experiencing many different courses with her success as a manager.

“Playing golf helped me see a variety of golf courses, so it [helps] me understand what members are looking for,” said Judd.

While at Boise State, Judd competed in 35 tournaments finishing with an average score of 79.27. She had seven finishes at par or better and her best career finish was fourth place. Judd is tied for ninth in lowest round as an individual, tied for seventh in career top-10 finishes (six) and tied for sixth in single-season top-25 finishes (seven). She also served as a captain during her senior year.

Judd noted the significance her teammates played in her success on the course throughout her tenure as a Bronco.

“We were all very competitive but also very supportive of each other,” said Judd. “I wouldn’t change my experience for the world.”
