KAYLEEN MCDOWELL EARNS ALL-DISTRICT ACADEMIC HONORS

BOISE, Idaho Kayleen McDowell, a member of the Boise State University track and field team, has received second team ESPN The Magazine all-district academic honors.
A sophomore from Forest Grove, Oregon, McDowell has a 3.97 grade-point-average. Her major is K-12 Physical Education.
McDowell recently completed an outstanding season for the Bronco women’s track and field team with a second place finish in the 800-meter run at the Western Athletic Conference Championships, while helping the 4x400-meter relay team to the league title.
Her top time at 800 meters this season was 2:09.40, which was the third fastest in school history. McDowell ran the opening leg of the relay team which posted the second fastest time in Bronco history this year at 3:41.22.
The all-district team is selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America organization.
