Creative Solutions

The Boise State Athletics Creative Solutions team is seeking a Graduate Assistant to assist in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: photo, graphic design, storytelling, and social media.

Job Summary

  • Work on graphic and photo projects to help enhance the digital brand of our BroncoLife, BroncoBold, and Varsity B programs, as well as highlighting the Bronco experience across 18 sport programs, alumni and the local high school ambassador network.
  • Assist with storytelling features, interviews, and program highlights to promote events, initiatives, and campaigns through digital media.
  • Assist with video post-production needs across the designated programs.
  • Be responsible for maintaining NCAA, Conference and Boise State brand standards and rules compliance.
  • This position will be required to work nights and weekends, and travel when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience with videography, photography, editing and social media
  • Be able to lift 30+ pounds at a time and be capable of being on your feet for long periods of time

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of various post-production shooting and editing techniques, including knowledge in cinematic/DSLR cameras, Adobe Creative Suite, lighting, and other industry-standard post-production equipment.
  • Basic understanding of social media account management
  • Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations regarding compliance issues

Salary and Benefits

  • Position is a 2-year appointment
  • Salary will be paid as a biweekly stipend (~$15,000) and will include primary medical health insurance coverage through the Graduate Assistant student health insurance plan
  • Graduate school tuition will be paid for the 2-year Master of Athletic Leadership program while maintaining completion of degree requirements

Business Operations

Boise State Athletics Business Office and Sports & Entertainment teams are seeking a Graduate Assistant to assist in supplying business operations support for the units.

Job Summary

  • Support the sports & entertainment division through business operations functions, which include:
  • Assist in reviewing contracts, creating purchase orders, and tracking trade agreements utilizing the department's software platforms.
  • Oversee the special event and game management staffing process, to include, but not limited to, hiring, onboarding, tracking/input of hours, coding of time, etc.
  • Assist in reconciliation of the area's P-Card process, including review of department use, ensuring that receipts are collected, and reviewing and approving funding sources per approved budgets.
  • Assist in account reconciliations to include vendor statements, balance sheet accounts, reconciliation to sub-systems, and cash reconciliation.
  • Assist the department with other assigned projects and duties.
  • Be responsible for maintaining NCAA, Mountain West Conference, and Boise State Compliance rules.
  • This position will be required to work nights and weekends, when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Be detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations regarding compliance issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in multi-level spreadsheet development and manipulation using Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in cash management and reconciliations.
  • Experience in the use and analysis of accounting software and applications.
