
Broncos to face Southern Miss in Football Series

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State will renew its series with Southern Miss when the two football teams exchange home games during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
The Broncos will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. to face the Golden Eagles Oct. 6, 2012, with Southern Miss returning the trip to Bronco Stadium Sept. 28, 2013. Game times will be announced at a later date.
This will mark the second two-game series between the schools. The first two games were played in 2007 and 2008 with the Broncos handing the Golden Eagles a 38-16 defeat in Boise Sept. 27, 2007, before posting a 24-7 victory in Hattiesburg Oct. 11, 2008.
The two schools will exchange a game guarantee of $200,000.
Boise State is currently in its second week of preseason practice for the 2011 season which opens Sept. 3 (Saturday) at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta against the University of Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. The game will be broadcast live by ESPN beginning at 8 p.m. (ET).
