Sadi Henderson will represent the Boise State women's track and field team this Friday, March 10 at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in College Station, Texas at Gilliam Indoor Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M. Henderson will be running in the 800m, making her the first women's track athlete in school history to compete in the 800m at an NCAA championship.

This will be the second year in a row that the Bronco women's team will be represented at indoor nationals, as Allie Ostrander qualified last year in the 3,000m and 5,000m.

The 800m this weekend will be divided into two preliminaries on Friday. The top-three finishers from each preliminary along with the next two fastest overall finishers will advance to the final on Saturday.

The Corvallis, Mont., native enters the championships with the No. 10 women's 800m time in the country (2:04.01). Henderson clocked the 2:04.01 at the UW Invitational on Jan. 28. The time is a school record and the second-fastest women's indoor 800m time in Mountain West history.

She excelled at the conference championships, as well, winning the 800m title with a Mountain West Championship record time of 2:04.83. Henderson also ran the 1,200m leg on the winning distance medley team that recorded an 11:19.39 for the second-fastest time in school history and the second-fastest time in Mountain West Championship history.
