BOISE, Idaho - Allison Voigt, Boise State's head beach volleyball coach, announced Monday the addition of four prep standouts for the 2023 campaign. Joining Boise State next spring will be Makayla Dimond (Oak Park, Calif.), Lily Patock (Sacramento, Calif.), Abbie Wolf (Federal Way, Wash.) and Elli Wolthuis (Gilbert, Ariz.). The addition of these four increases next year's recruiting class to seven joining Ava Anderson, Anika Chirstensen and Aris Vetter who signed earlier.

"I am very excited to have Mickey, Abbie, Lily, and Elli join our program next year," said Voigt. "These four along with the other three recruits will bring a lot of passion and experience that I'm very excited about. All of our recruits are going to make an immediate impact on and off the court for us."

Today's Additions
Makayla Dimond, Oak Park, Calif. (Oak Park HS)
Lily Patock, Sacramento, Calif. (Christian Brothers HS)
Abbie Wolf, Federal Way, Wash. (Decatur HS)
Elli Wolthuis, Gilbert, Ariz. (Gilbert Christian HS)

Dimond is currently a senior at Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Calif., where she is a four-year member of the Eagles' varsity team. As a junior in 2021, Dimond finished with an undefeated record for OPHS earning All-Marmonte League First Team honors in the process. She also played two years for the OPHS indoor volleyball team earning All-Coastal Canyon League Second Team honors in 2019. She is an academic standout receiving Academic All-Coastal Canyon League honors in 2019 and 2021. The future Bronco played her club ball for the Valley Girls of Malibu, Calif.

Voigt's thoughts on Dimond, "Mickey is a great defender who plays for an amazing club. She has great energy and passion for the game."

Patock is completing her senior year at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento, Calif. Patock is a relative newcomer to the beach game and currently plays her beach volleyball for the Moxie Volleyball Club of Sacramento. As a beach player, she received a bid to play in the AAU Junior Olympic Tournament in 2021. Patock is a four-year member of the CBHS indoor team which went 30-7 overall and 12-0 in league play this past fall. In addition, the Falcons have won four-consecutive Capital Athletic League championships and reached the Sac-Joaquin Section final in 2021. She was named the Capital Athletic League MVP as a senior and earned Sacramento Optimists All-Star Team honors.

Voigt on Patock, "Lily is a physical split blocker and her love for the game will be a great addition to our team."

Wolf will come to Boise from Federal Way, Wash., where she is currently a senior at Decatur High School. She is entering her fourth season competing for the DaKine Volleyball Club in Fircrest, Wash., for coach Chris Hanneman. She and her partner took first-place at the California BVCA last January and third at the Seaside (Ore.) Tournament in August, 2021.

Voigt on Wolf, "Abbie is a blocker who is coming from the same club as Aris and Anika. She will bring a great presence and work ethic that will help our team right away.

Wolthuis is a senior at Gilbert Christian High School in Gilbert, Ariz. Heading into her senior campaign, Wolthuis is a four-year member of the GCHS varsity team. She played No. 1 pair every season for the varsity team recording a combined 20-7 personal record as a freshman and junior (sophomore season was canceled because of pandemic), earning All-Metro Region honors as a junior. Wolthuis also started all four years for the GCHS indoor team where she was a four-time all-region and two-time all-conference honoree, as well as being named team captain and MVP three times.

Voigt's thoughts on Wolthuis, "Elli is a great defender with a lot of experience in the sand. She is quick and sees the game really well."
