I came to BSU to be a big fish in a small pond and to play in Bronco stadium.
How did Boise State impact your life?
Yes, coming to Boise State truly impacted my life. Even though I was an aware Black young man at the time, Boise helped me to turn into a thinking Black man. Finding out that was good to think like a Black man, put me on a road to bridging the racial gap. So, Boise helped me to find my life’s calling!
How do you stay in contact with Boise State?
For years I worked for and taught at Boise State University. When I was teaching I was able to keep in contact with players who were students. I have an autographed Minnesota Vikings football, signed by Carl Eller. His grandson Nick Alexander was a BSU defensive end. He and DeMarcus Lawrence were in my class. Nick needed some advice. I helped him and he told his grandfather. My Eller appreciated me helping and had Nick give me the signed football.
